This is the privacy policy for foundity.eu, a curated peer community for European founders. We take the protection of your personal data seriously and process it exclusively in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable German law.
2. What Data We Collect
When you submit an application to join Foundity, we collect the following information:
Personal details
- Full name
- Email address
- Country of residence
- Age
Founder & business information
- Founder stage (e.g. pre-revenue, revenue-generating, post-exit)
- Monthly revenue range (if applicable)
- Pricing model (if applicable)
- Founder experience (first-time or repeat)
- Industry or field
- Marketing channels used
- Current challenges and goals
- Community feature wishes
Optional online profiles
- LinkedIn profile URL
- TikTok profile URL
- Instagram profile URL
- Website or startup URL
- App Store or Play Store link
All free-text fields in the application are optional. You may also provide additional context in your own words throughout the form.
3. Why We Collect This Data
We collect and process your data for the following purposes only:
- Peer matching — to group you with founders at a similar stage, in a relevant industry, and from a compatible geography
- Profile creation — to pre-populate a member profile for you when you join, so you don't have to fill in the same information twice
- Community improvement — to understand the needs and challenges of our applicants and build a better product
- Application review — to personally assess your application and reach out with a decision
We do not sell your data. Your information is never shared with third parties for commercial or marketing purposes.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your data based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by voluntarily submitting the application form. You may withdraw your consent at any time by requesting deletion of your data (see Section 7).
Where processing is necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into a community membership agreement, we additionally rely on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
5. Data Retention
We retain your application data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described above — and for as long as you are an applicant or member of Foundity. If your application is not accepted, we may retain your data for up to 12 months in case circumstances change and a future group is a better fit.
You may request deletion of your data at any time, regardless of your application status (see Section 7).
6. Who Has Access to Your Data
Your data is accessed only by the operator of Foundity. We do not share your personal information with other members, third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
If we use technical service providers (e.g. for form submission or email delivery), these are bound by data processing agreements and may only process your data on our behalf and under our instructions.
7. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to restriction — request that we limit how we use your data
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing

Deletion requests are processed promptly. Simply write us an email and we will delete your application data without delay.
8. Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you believe your data is being processed unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Germany, the competent authority is:

9. Cookies & Tracking
Foundity does not use tracking cookies, analytics tools, or third-party advertising pixels on this website. No data is transmitted to advertising networks.
10. Google Fonts
This website uses Google Fonts to display typefaces. Google Fonts is a service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
When you visit this page, your browser loads the required font files directly from Google's servers. This causes your IP address to be transmitted to Google. Google may process this data in the United States or other countries outside the EU.
This processing is based on our legitimate interest in a visually consistent and technically reliable presentation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
